Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks in Appleton, WI.  Due to this growth we are looking to add an Aerial Mechanic/Technician to our team. 

Details:

The right candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing and rebuilding of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc. USSI is willing to train a candidate who has Technical Schooling in automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment repair.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in vehicle service repair in any areas of automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment industries. USSI will also consider those with Technical Schooling in these areas with less than one years of work experience.
  • Experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred but not required.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Basic hand tools are required for this position.
  • Physical and drug test required if candidate is hired.
  • Strong work ethic, pleasant attitude required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record is needed.

 

Hours:

Dayshift position Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.  Regular full-time hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime available.

With our continued growth we are looking to add a Road Service Mechanic to our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including bucket truck aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc.   Upon successful completion of training with shop and road service technicians, this position will require traveling Monday - Friday.  This will involve client locations either locally or throughout the state of WI and MI/ Upper Peninsula.  You will be home on weekends! 

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in vehicle service repair in any areas of automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment industries.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
  • CDL is preferred but not required (for test driving trucks that are being repaired).
  • Physical and drug test are required before starting.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the outside and inside sales teams, application engineering and quoting of all new products for our customers. This includes leading a group of outside salesmen, inside sales estimators and draftsmen. This leader will also be expected to be in the forefront of changing technology in our industry and develop relationships with our broad base of customers and suppliers. This position reports to the Vice President, New Products & Sales.

 

Qualifications: Meet or exceed most of the following requirements.

 

  • Sales Management experience in a related field.
  • Background in Engineering or Technical Design including bachelors or associate degree in Engineering Technology.
  • Experience in MS Office (Excel & Word) and AutoCAD a must.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment a must and with aerial lift trucks a plus.
  • Experience with SAGE or MAS100 ERP a plus.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to work closely with entire leadership team.
  • The ability to analyze work tasks and implement process improvements.
  • Looking for a self-starter with a positive attitude.

With our continued growth we are looking to add a Technical Sales Estimator to our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the application engineering and quoting all new products for our customers. Someone who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and has a strong desire to succeed in a team environment!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Configure new vehicle upfit equipment specifications
  • Develop and implement all programs and applications
  • Design and test all new programs and applications
  • Generate new equipment sales quotes
  • Procure major vehicle upfit equipment components
  • Assist in scheduling vehicle upfit equipment builds
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate degree from a two-year technical college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in building custom vehicle upfit specifications and/or quotations.
  • Computer experience in a Windows environment is a must. This includes intermediate experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Experience in AutoCAD & SAGE ERP Systems is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and a cheerful disposition.
  • The ability to work closely with our inside sales, outside sales, and production teams as well as our customers.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
