Utility Sales and Service (USSI) is a rapidly growing company that manufactures & services custom-made aerial lift and work trucks used by organizations that service our nation’s infrastructure. USSI is looking for a full-time Parts Technician to join their team.

This right candidate will coordinate and manage all activities during the purchasing process, such as creating purchase orders, monitoring transportation, and follow-through.  He/she will authorize purchases, process returns of merchandise, and pricing; as well as organize and locate inventory in databases and online systems.

 

Essential Job Duties

Maintain computer software PO/Inventory system and paperwork accurately. Negotiate parts pricing as assigned. Work with supply groups to keep appropriate and accurate inventories. Maintain parts room and ensure inventory accuracy. Provide excellent overall customer service to customers, vendors, and employees. Identify usage and inventory issues. Order all parts from vendors and ensure accurate processes, including entering purchase orders, receiving and charging parts for job orders, etc. Handle customers’ orders, including packaging and shipping, restocking of inventory, delivery of inventory to necessary departments, etc. Maintain parts department databases and ensure to update pricing and markup changes. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.

Education/Experience

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer Skills- Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, & Excel is required. Sage ERP Job Costing, Inventory, P.O, S.O. is preferred.

 

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Forklift experience/certification preferred or ability to be certified required.

 

Hours: Dayshift, full-time position Monday through Friday, minimum 8 hours per day

This stable company is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and has a strong desire to succeed in a team environment. This company will consider those who have prior welding experience, have a welding degree from a Technical College, or possible those individuals who have no schooling but on the job welding experience (MIG or stick welding preferred.) Mechanical skills and blueprint reading skills are preferred. Candidate will be responsible for the majority of the new equipment installation of truck mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, liftgates, service and line bodies through fabrication, welding and installation of the various components. The candidate will have the ability to weld steel and aluminum from light to structural materials to meet company & manufacturer weld specifications.  Ability to operate metal fabricating equipment and hand operated metal working tools.  This position includes the installation, plumbing of all necessary hydraulic components.  On the job training provided.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a good mechanical aptitude, some experience using basic hand and power tools, be self-motivated and able to work with others.  The qualified candidate must also be able to bend, twist and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Utility Sales & Service is a rapidly growing manufacturer and service provider of custom-made aerial lift trucks in Appleton, WI.  Due to this growth we are looking to add an Aerial Mechanic/Technician to our team. 

Details:

The right candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing and rebuilding of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc. USSI is willing to train a candidate who has Technical Schooling in automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment repair.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in vehicle service repair in any areas of automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment industries. USSI will also consider those with Technical Schooling in these areas with less than one years of work experience.
  • Experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred but not required.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Basic hand tools are required for this position.
  • Physical and drug test required if candidate is hired.
  • Strong work ethic, pleasant attitude required.

Hours:

Dayshift position Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.  Regular full-time hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime available.

With our continued growth we are looking to add a Road Service Mechanic to our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing of truck mounted hydraulic equipment including bucket truck aerials, digger derricks, light cranes, boom loaders, winches, lift gates, reel loaders, etc.   Upon successful completion of training with shop and road service technicians, this position will require traveling Monday - Friday.  This will involve client locations either locally or throughout the state of WI and MI/ Upper Peninsula.  You will be home on weekends! 

 

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in vehicle service repair in any areas of automotive, diesel truck, forklift, crane or heavy equipment industries.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
  • CDL is preferred but not required (for test driving trucks that are being repaired).
  • Physical and drug test are required before starting.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Experience in hydraulics and chassis electrical is preferred.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual for a final assembly checkout position. The qualified candidate must be willing to learn and have a strong desire to succeed in a team environment. This position involves final assembly of post paint fabricated components onto new truck mounted utility aerials, digger derricks, cranes and van body trucks, and final detailing the units for delivery, performing quality control checks as well as performing final checkout and operation of all components and completing final paperwork and documentation.

 

Qualifications:

 Details: This stable company is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is willing to learn and has a strong desire to succeed in a team environment. The Production Electrical Technician position will be responsible to layout, build and troubleshoot electrical panels, install and wire chassis/body 12-volt D.C. and 120/240-volt A.C. electrical components, fabricate custom wire harness in new production truck chassis, with service and line bodies, aerials, derricks, cranes, lift gates, etc.  Component installation and wiring to include chassis and body lighting, warning and auxiliary lighting, 12-volt hydraulic power units, transmission mounted power take off units, hydraulic power units, AC generators, DC to AC inverters, charging and auxiliary battery systems.  Must have the ability to read electrical wiring schematics and differentiate wire colors. Experience in automotive and/ or heavy truck electrical systems, 120/240-volt A.C. inverter and/or generator electrical wiring a definite plus but not required.  Training provided.

 

Qualifications: Experience in truck chassis or similar related electrical installation or vehicle service repair in any areas of automotive, diesel truck/trailer, fork lift, crane or heavy equipment industries. We will also consider those with Technical College Training in any of the above areas. Experience in welding, hydraulics, chassis electrical and or chassis mechanical is a plus but not required. Basic hand tools are required for this position.  Physical and drug test required if position is offered.
