I am pleased to announce that Mark Gehrt is appointed Vice President & General Manager of our rental equipment business, USSI Rentals, Inc

Mark served in the US Army on active duty for over 21 years as a Satellite Communicator, retiring from active duty in 2010. After retirement from the Army, Mark worked at SNVC, an IT services company in Northern Virginia. He served as the Director of Operations overseeing all aspects of contract support to include operations, personnel, security, and quality management for SNVC which had 125 employees and sales of $22M. In 2012, Mark co-founded Apogee Systems, a company that provides training and training management services to federal government agencies.

In June 2013, Mark joined Power Equipment as the Chief Operating Officer, and in January 2023 became company President. 2013 wasn't the first time Mark worked at PELCO, prior to his military service Mark washed and maintained PELCO rental units!

Mark has a BS in Management from National Louis University and is a certified Project Management Professional. He has a broad background in leadership, operations management, and quality management systems to include Lean Six Sigma and ISO 9001.

Mark and his wife, Vicky, have one grown son, Bryant, and reside in Plainfield, IL.
